From parametric engine assemblies to production change notices, Aaryan works across the full design-data lifecycle: modeling in Creo and Siemens NX, dimensioning with GD&T, and managing releases through PLM systems like Teamcenter and Aras Innovator.
TurboFan Engine Assembly, a complete engine modeled as a personal project in Creo Parametric.
Built the full 3D parametric assembly with bypass ratio optimization studies, component integration and interference checking, and performance parameter calculations, applying GD&T across the design throughout.
Result: The assembly ships with a browsable 3D model and a 21-image gallery on the project page.
TurboFan Engine AssemblySiemens Smart Infrastructure, Summer 2025 internship in the mechanical department at the Grand Prairie office.
Designed custom enclosures for panelboards in CREO and executed engineering change notices in SAP, and engineered neutral assemblies that resolved switchboard configuration edge cases in production designs.
Result: Returned with a full-time offer; Aaryan joins Siemens Smart Infrastructure after graduation.
Professional experienceSingle Piston Sterling Engine, a mechanical design project run through enterprise design-data tooling.
Designed the engine in Siemens NX and managed the design data through Teamcenter and Aras Innovator, exercising the same PLM release workflows used in industry alongside GD&T-driven detailing of the mechanism.
Result: Project files and related CAD work are collected on the project page.
Sterling Engine projectPurdue Space Program Satellites team, as a Structures, Mechanisms and Thermals member.
Contributed structures and mechanisms design work for the satellite team, including Fusion 360 design work and laser-cut hardware, while also serving as deputy systems director for the Satellites team.
Result: Carried the work across a 10-team organization where he also served as secretary.
Purdue Space ProgramAaryan Lath's aerospace structures work: CubeSat structural design in Fusion 360, RETHi vibration-isolation FEA, Vectran tensile testing, and GD&T mechanisms.
Aaryan Lath's systems engineering: requirements at Siemens and Purdue Space Program, RETHi safety trade studies, and managing an AAE 418 suborbital experiment.
Aaryan Lath's aerospace propulsion work: distributed electric propulsion survey in AAE 339, UAM propulsion-safety research, and turbofan bypass ratio analysis.
Working on something in this space? Aaryan would love to hear about it.
